Water is expensive and I've been looking into an RO/DI 5 stage unit, my question is based on your expert knowledge and that of your users on this forum, what is the best unit?

I've been specifically thinking about getting the SpectraPure MaxCap RO/DI System, thoughts on this system vs. others you might recommend?

Thanks,

Jason

Most RODI systems are essentially the same thing, so I wouldn't worry too much about brand. The one brand I've noticed to be different is the ones made by Aquaticlife. They are a top loading design which makes them a little bit easier to work on.

I would look into a good in-line TDS meter while you're shopping around. Without one, an RODI system may not always run well.

Makes sense, do you have a preference on a specific unit or do you have any reviews of the SpectraPure MaxCap RO/DI System? This system includes a pressure gauge and a pre and post in-line TDS meter.

Thanks,

Jason

That sounds like it should be a pretty good system in that case. I've played with the Aquaticlife units as well as a few other more standard ones, and they all seem to work about equally as well.

I would make sure the TDS meter gives an actual number rather than just an indication of when the water is good or not.
